Early Spotter Recordings is NOT just another independently operated hip hop record label. In fact, when the rest went boutique, we stayed in the street and still managed to offer something unique. We are field soldiers, dedicated to searching out, developing, and promoting new musical talent that offers something of substance. We are in the streets, at shows, online, overseas, and everywhere in between, leaving no stones unturned. In the immortal words of Afrika Bambaatta, we are "Looking for the perfect beat".
We are NOT waiting for the next release to fall into our lap or for some demo to reach our mailbox. We do NOT sit by the phone waiting for some money hungry broker or middle man to tell us what's hot. We are NOT a self promoting artist disguised as a record label and most importantly, we are NOT trying to put out our friend's new releases, simply because they are our friends.

Within our niche focus there is more music being produced than there is a market for it. Desktop recording technologies are enabling anyone with a beat to produce recordings which just several years ago had to be worked on in high overhead recording studios. This surplus of recordings, combined with a robust but demanding marketplace, results in even greater need for filters to help separate quality recordings from the rest.

By allowing our stable of artist full creative control over their releases; in turn we are then presented with the purist form of artistic creativity. The Early Spotter objective is to shape the end result into a commercially viable product and further promote the artist career by offering our rich pool of resources as a platform in which the artist can benefit to grow.
Unlike the other countless indie record labels out there today, that tend to operate more like the majors by solely relying on the fan base of an already established artist and banking off their sophomore and third releases, Early Spotter takes on a more daring approach by "spotting" new artists at an "early" stage in their career and releasing their material for all to hear. Striving to provide an alternative outlet to new talent in a time when most labels wouldn't even consider them, Early Spotter steps up to the plate and continues to move forward introducing the world to tomorrow's standard.
